About art at the museum

The museum holds an eclectic art collection including oil and watercolour paintings, prints and textiles. A large majority of the pieces feature local views of Craven or recognisable local people such as Lady Anne Clifford of Skipton Castle. The collection ranges in date from the mid 17th century (1600s) up to the 20th century (1900s). The museum is still actively collecting and adding to the art collection.

If you would like to enquire about this collection or would like further information simply get in touch with a member of our curatorial team.
